Love this game but I can't play it anymore. I think it may be related to Windows 11, but it won't even start from their launcher and every conceivable thing I've tried to fix it won't work. Stick to Windows 10 if you're buying this game in 2024.

Best Total War i have played and I played them all since rome total war 1. It's beautiful to see the games develop so nicely... until the war hammer series. Shogun 2 has to be the height of Creative Assembly's achievements, the art work, audio(metal arrows), voice actors, music, graphics, the quality of water, authenticity, all round beautiful game. Just wish it could have lasted a little longer in the limelight. Thank you Total War community for creating the best memories for me!!!

This game sucks. It's concept is great, but the AI is always in Hard mode. They earn way more money and have better outcomes than you, and you have to overcome it with diplomacy... Which is fine.. What's not fine is if you win, they win harder. Always. Whoever they may be, they win harder. If you take over a large portion of land and momentarily find peace, you will soon find war and lose by attrition. They seem to have an infinte amount of money too. You have to know when to tax high, in order to self train your troops... but when you do, you wil be attacked because the AI knows ALL. There's just no chance of winning, and if there is.. its by margins. As far are domination goes.. All this on Easy mode.. They have more money in Hard mode which makes no sense. It's a fun game one moment, then hard work the next.
