Balancing/Gameplay changes / QoL

• Aqueducts: The ability to cross aqueducts was disabled because it irritated too many players.
• Personal Slaves: Prices increased 10 times.
• Decoration (Sedan): Respect points changed from 150 to 1.
• Resource Markers: Increased by 50% on the map.
• Slave Supplier: Now also available in the Marble menu to reduce confusion. Still available in the Slave menu.

Bugs

• Pause Mode: Cannot be exited after pressing P; now fixed (Hotfix 1.02.01).
• Fourth Personal Slave: Purchase was not possible; fixed.
• Rank Consul Buildings: Previously unlocked buildings were re-locked; fixed.
• Steam Achievements: Not granted when unlocking maps for sandbox; fixed.
• Map 5: Ship traffic was no longer possible after update 1.02.00; fixed.
• Circus Building: Overlapped the street; fixed.
• Bonn City Map: Was visible to all players, now restricted to those who completed story mode.
• Bridge Monument: Sometimes rotated 90 degrees; fixed.
• Orientation Buttons: “Great Plain” and “Island” buttons were reversed; fixed.
• Large Honor Bow: Was available before story completion; now locked properly.
• Radius Bonus: Description missing for two ranks; fixed.
• Autosave: Disabled during the tutorial.
• Tutorial Wealth: Updated because new slave prices were unaffordable.
• Fire Engines: Not visible since last patch; fixed.
• Porta Nigra: Can now be built (was previously impossible to unlock).
• Pause Mode (again): Pressing P again didn’t unpause; fixed.
• Pyre Click Bug: Clicking showed nothing; fixed.
• World Map Buttons: Two buttons were reversed and pointed to the wrong settlement; fixed.

Story (and story related bugs)

• Britain Story Stuck: Fixed.
• Pause Mode During Story: Now only resets speed if not paused. If paused, stays paused.
• Fire Mission: Players got trapped and sent to Northern France; fixed.

Slower camera/first person view

Just a small request: I have been struggling with the "camera obscura" fir a while, and find it is so hard to get a good capture: the camera moves too fast and abruptly, and it is impossible to get a good angle: Is it possible to do a 1st person view (dreamed of that since Caesar 2 times) or at least a less sensitive camera so tapping a direction key for 0.1 seconds doesn't move you 200 roman miles?...

The game needs save slots, as well as some more intuitive or guided UI elements, the core gameplay seems promising but I wish it was a bit more polished. Additionally the ability for more finegrained keybinding would be great as well as better tools tips over the various core resources. I will say right now its not a recommend, but if they release a few patches i'll update my review.

Stuck on career and history modes due to bug

Hey there: I just want to report and know if anyone else is affected with two bugs on career and history modes which stopped any progress: -History mode: I was able to advance to the point where you have to burn 10 buildings: First red flag is that (while not needed to complete the mission), I noticed my baths where not working, and many houses had no water. Bug Report – Career Mode (Third City Scenario after Tarraco Trial)

In Career Mode, during the third city scenario that follows the trial in Tarraco, there is a critical bug affecting building construction. At a certain point—fairly early in the scenario—constructions stop progressing entirely. Pax Romana 117 in 4 months. Need to address major issues before that moment.

Sorry for this message guys, but I firmly believe in the potentials of this game. Yesterday I heard that pax romana from ubisoft will be released in 4 months. Therefore I think that we need to address the major problems before it, to mantain competitivity of this incredible game. I am not speaking only about new DLC, but mainly a general optimization of the characteristics, dynamic and language issues. Just wanted to make the developers aware of this my very opinion...

Love the mechanics but the space to build anything is so limited it is like you are being punished. Interested to see how this developed but really needs more work to be enjoyable for longer.

I do recommend this game. BUT only to experienced/adventurous players.
This is coming from someone who only played the story mode up until now.

The game doesnt really have a tutorial so it took me 4 attempts to get things running in the first settlement. So dont be dishartened when you fail a few times.
Thats not because the mechanics are overly complex just because they are just different enough and not really explained.

Before this ends in a novel i just want to highlight a few positives and negatives:

+++ asthetics and visuals
++ general level of detail
+ interesting mechanics to figure out
+ music & sounds
+ forum/market contruction
+ fair price

-- lack of instructions (though i do like to figure things out myself a la "workers and resources")
-- bugs (a lot), mostly minor
- loading times
- in story mode you get ripped from your colony when things just become interesting.
- map size
- missing QOL in some areas
