Quick Time Event and Sounds - Some announcements

Hello Gamers,

We are taking into consideration all the feedback you've provided us with. Additionally, by watching gameplay videos from various streamers, we've taken note of the deficiencies related to the game. Particularly, you've brought awareness to us regarding Quick Time Events.
In the full version, we will introduce an accessibility feature for Quick Time Events, allowing those who don't enjoy them to progress through alternative gameplay. For now, we've reduced the Quick Time Events for the priests to one for a smoother gameplay experience. Furthermore, we've added sound to some death animations. We are considering making the sounds even more impactful in the full version of the game. Many people believe that the voice of God is created with an effect, but it is actually the ancient Nahuatl language used by the Aztecs. We collaborated with linguists to revive the Nahuatl language specifically for this game.

Hello everybody, we are finally back with our new Demo! And now, it is time to develop the game with the feedback you gave us.

We can’t wait to show you what we were working on! And actually, we don’t need to wait either. Mark February 5th on your calendars and be ready to run away from the ANCIENT GOD!

What is “Death Relives”?

Death Relives takes inspiration from Aztec mythology, along with real historical events from the 16th century. The game immerses players into a nightmarish world where the players are trying to survive from long-forgotten gods. While struggling with Xipe Totec, the god of death, life, rebirth, agriculture, vegetation, and deadly warfare in Aztec mythology, players will also find themselves in real historical places, such as the ship that Hernán Cortés traveled to the land of Aztecs with. The dark and eerie atmosphere of Death Relieves also hides other entities lurking in the shadows, which will be revealed in the rich storyline while Adrian, our protagonist, progresses through the game.

Death Relives resurrects the ancient Aztec horrors, which requires special items to deal with. The unique combat and stealth mechanics of the game require using these items effectively during the journey. However, while fighting against the ancient gods of the Aztecs, killing and sending their souls to the Mictlan, the underworld of Aztec mythology, won't be enough.

The performance is extremely bad

That's all I gotta say about this, even with frame gen the game barely reaches 50 fps. First time I was trying ULTRA and then I tried LOW, same fps with a minor boost. Not to be mean in any way but it's literally the worst performing game I ever tested, hope in the full release this will be fixed...

Very promising but

I played the demo and had to stop after the moment where I get the seed radar since ... well I couldn't escape :( The aztec god keeps patrolling in the dinner room and every time I tried to escape, even while crouching, he saw me. Since he's quicker than me I can't escape at all. I don't know what to do and it feels frustrating. The game looks and sound wonderful however, that adds to the frustrating part. Oh and another thing but not so important : please allow to close a document reading by the same ke...

Windows 10 21H2 or above what?

With other relatively low requirements Why ask for such a new build Windows? Maybe you can make it possible to run on any version of Windows 10 Before the festival ends? I'm not going to discuss If the developer doesn’t do it, then God bless him You can close the topic Or let it remain without answers...

Black screen after trying to decrease the resolution

I broke the demo while trying to decrease the resolution to 1920x1080. It shows a black screen, the problem still persists even after restarting the game. Can't be played anymore. I have 4K screen with DP connection, RTX 4070 Ti, AMD Ryzen 9. The default setting was "Borderless" and 2560x1440 (if I recall correctly). It looked like it wasn't possible to change the resolution in Borderless mode, so I might have changed that mode before the resolution decrease....
