It's time for another Paper Animal Adventure content update🚀




This month I focused mainly on adding new content:) I felt like there weren't too many cookpot recipes, so I added a few more. There used to be 15 recipes, with 10 recipes for different colored Beans and 1 Coffee recipe. I added 18 new base recipes (and a few other ones, but more on that later), which made cooking a bit more interesting:D

Here are a few of the new recipes/Items:

The Breaded Cactus Fruit can be made with a Cactus Fruit which can be found in the Kaboom Dunes and some Protein Powder! There is also a Breaded Snail Shell, which can be made with the Snail Shell instead of the Cactus Fruit💪

If you combine two fruits of the same type, you'll now get Jam instead of Salad! These fruits include Tomapples, Velo Berries, Ferns, Cherrocks, Inukari Berries, Cactus Fruits, Strawberries and Bananas. But not Onions!

If you use an Onion with another fruit...

...you'll get the Fart Salad! I know, legendary game design, thank you thank you

Funky Leaf plus any fruit results in a Leaf Burrito! Eating this one allows you to charge Hype Units a lot faster💪

If you want to regenerate your Health Poins fully, cook an Onion with Honey to make Medicine:D

Another thing that wasn't possible before was making Blue Beans. The game doesn't let you upgrade your Movement Speed normally, since it can make controlling a character pretty hard quickly, but if you want to try to do that anyway you can now make a Blue Bean with a Velo Berry and a Bean. Use at your own risk!




As soon as you collected the normal Cookpot, you can start searching for the Super Cookpot. If you have the normal one, there's a 50% chance that an Enemy Camp will have a Super Cookpot, which you can steal to make even stronger Items🚀

The normal Cookpot only allows you to combine base Items together, which means as soon as you have a cooked Item you couldn't cook with it further.

The Super Cookpot doesn't have this restriction anymore! With it you can cook whatever you want together:D Because of that I introduced even more recipes, but these are Super Cookpot exclusive.




The Super Cookpot "unlocks" more recipes, 14 Bean-related ones, and 11 other ones.

If you cook a basic Coffee with a colored Bean or with some other ingredients, you can get colored Coffees now! The Coffee Item boosted a random stat by a high value, but with colored Coffees you can now target which stats you want to boost by a high value!:D

If you tried a combination that didn't work and resulted in "Something", you can now use that "Something" and cook it with anything else to get the Weird Shake. It's not insanely powerful, but it regenerates 2 Health Points, which makes it as strong as a Tomapple!

Soup and a Sweetgum Pod results in the Hedgehog Stew, which increases Experience Points gain for the next few floors✨

And Cake with any fruit results in a Fruitcake. This doesn't regenerate all Health Points, but 18 is still quite a lot!

One of my favorite new Items is Pure Caffeine, which can be made with two Energy Drinks, or an Energy Drink with a Coffee.

This Items boosts your stats more and more with each one you eat, but there's a 20% chance of the character getting defeated when eating it. You should be very careful with it when only playing with one character, since eating it could result in a Game Over on a Camp floor😅




I also adjusted the Cooking menu a bit!:) If you already tried an Item combination at some point (also in other runs etc) the menu shows you what the result will be:D


Another bigger addition this month is the Crystal Forge, which allows you to modify Skills and their Attributes:D

The Crystal Forge can also be found in Enemy Camps after you collected the Cookpot. If you enter a Dungeon Floor with Eclipsed weather and you already have the base Cookpot, the Crystal Forge will be guaranteed to be in one Enemy Camp. Otherwise it has a 25% chance to spawn:)

As soon as you collected it, you'll have a new station at the Camp available.

Choose any Skill that you want to modify and then you'll get forwarded to this menu. For the modification process you'll have three tool slots available. The outcome depends on which tools are used, but also in which slots the tools are used!

There is also no randomness involved, meaning if you understood the system, you can make targeted modifications and get to that Skill that you want, with the Attributes you want to have with it.

These five tools are available:

• Green Brush: Enhances Attributes
  
• Red Saw: Weakens Attributes
  
• Blue Wrench: Strengthens other Tools
  
• Yellow Chisel: Changes Skill type
  
• White Hammer: Adds attributes

In the example picture above there's a Green Brush in the first slot and a Blue Wrench in the second slot. The third slot is empty. The Green Brush raises the level of the first Attribute by one, and the Blue Wrench strenghtens the Green Brush so that it raises the level by two.

Similar to the Cookpot the game saves which Tool combinations you already tried. If you want to use a Tool combination you already tried again, the game will tell you the outcoming Skill:D

Each time you modify a Skill it will get more expensive to modify it again.

But otherwise you can edit the Skills in any way you want:D You can modify a Nutbomb with Uncool 4 into a Pryoblast with Powerful 5:D




Since there is now also a Frappé recipe, the game needed some kind of ice Item. So I added the Icefruit!:D

When the weather is Hail, an Icefruit Plant will appear, which will give you three Icefruits when you bump into it.
