Finished the story on NORMAL in 6 hours.
Game is pretty nice, the voice good but it's only for a tiny bit of dialogues only.
Combat very interesting, can make your own combo based on liliputs you gained.

Still have so many challenges and achievements missing though, so might keep grinding it out sometime soon.
For those that like action roguelike, do give it a try.
Also can we dodge boss attacks, and no not the going out of the range kind of dodge, but actual dodge on the time it gonna connect and the attack slip past kind of dodge. Cause for me it's pretty much impossible and some bosses can't be phased through when doing dash.

Bought this by chance while it was on sale. Haven't beat the game yet but really enjoying it. The art style is reminiscent of final fantasy 3. There's only dialog/banter between about 3 characters which isn't bad considering you mostly play a metroidvania game for the gameplay. It goes through the usual roguelite/like gameplay. You go into the dungeon, you fight, die, then come back with a resource to make you stronger for the next run.

I really like the concept of collecting creatures that are pretty much how you attack. Can either make them your main attacks in a combo string, say you have 4 monsters in your inventory, one is a ice type that attacks from a distance, the second a wind type that dashes towards the opponent or launches them/you into the air. Third a fire type that can apply a knockback, and maybe another ice creature to follow up after you've hit your target away from you. Its a fun mix and match system for fighting and adding in the fact that each creature has a basic attack or when switched to your skill slots may do something different all together.

After a while when you get into the flow of the game you can run into a dungeon room and clear all the enemies without even touching the ground it feels very fluid and can be pretty fun.
I've seen some other reviews saying this game is short. But considering i only spent $5 for the bundle that comes with the dlc i'd say it's worth it. Im only 8 hours in, and playing on hard mode. So even when i do finish this game i wouldn't mind replaying on the hardest difficulty later on.

minor issues I have with the game which not everyone may have is the background sometimes being the same color or close to some of the enemies/bosses attacks. Fighting a boss that summons tornados in the background while throwing gusts of wind at you as well can be kind of distracting. But that might just be because i wasn't used to the bosses attack patterns yet.

in conclusion, it's a fun game and it's pretty cheap. i believe it's around $15 normally and sometimes $4-$5 on sale.
