Initially, I hated the coffee-making part. I got those orders wrong an embarrassing amount of times, even with the tutorial cassettes in the employee room. My solution? Close the game, play Baldur's Gate 3 for a month, and then come back to The Closing Shift.

I don't know what that break did to me, but apparently, I overreacted. The coffee-making part isn't that hard... lol. It turned out to be my favorite part, and now I have a few barista games on my wishlist! The game is strangely realistic—the stalking part, the small talk with customers, and the stress of getting orders wrong all feel very genuine.

The story is good, which is noteworthy since storybuilding isn't usually Chilla's Art's strongest suit. However, the antagonist did look a bit goofy, to be honest. "Coffee, Steamed Milk, Caramel Syrup, Hazelnut Syrup, Chocolate Sauce"... this will haunt my dreams.

I haven't legitimately played this game yet because i originally bought this game for my cat, my cat has approximately 71 minutes on this game, i'm sure he enjoyed every minute of it, poor thing can't type this review because he broke both his front legs and has a fractured ribcage after recently been ran over by a truck. My cat played this game every minute it was in hospital, so to the great dev that made this incredible game with insane 4k raytracing graphics i commend you the reward for best game, by the way my cat says 'thanks'

I think this game does a great job on being a realistic horror game.

ITS SO INTERESTING!!! at first I thought the game was broken because the FIRST customer wouldn't take the coffee, but all you have to do is place the cup down, then grab the order sticker and place it on the cup, then they take it. but over all, worth $7!
