Inventive? Engineer? Where the F do I go and why doesn't the game tell me? I've talked to every NPC in the game and none make the story progress..

I should have at least the first four, I am currently in the swamp area. My first save file is bugged and I am playing on slot 2. It's been like that since I first started up the game, maybe because I played the demo first. IDK if that has anything to do with it....
