Mirror Mirror IN the Wall... who's the best Parkour game with a good stroyline of them all?... Mirror's Edge. (and its sequel). worth it. especially for a game this old! 4/5

This game is peak. It's deep and has nice plot turns.
If you like parcour games you should check this out, if you don't mind punching people (i do now btw).

Check out the sequel, if your computer is decent, ( mirrors edge catalyst). I loved this game a few years ago and it is still peak to me. Thanks to the devs!

I liked Mirror's Edge quite a bit. The game has very unique art direction and the gameplay is pretty fun throughout the 5-6 hour long campaign. It's short but feels like its just the right length. I would say it holds up quite well even after 17 years. The music by Solar Fields is great especially during the chase and combat sequences.

Mirror's Edge main failing is in how it expects perfection from you in spite of the fact that it itself is rough around the edges. I don't really have a problem with the trial-and-error gameplay that most people complain about with regards to this game. The checkpoints are generous enough that you don't lose chunks of progress upon dying. The main issue is that the parkour mechanics only seem to work about 90% of the time. I have had many deaths due to Faith not clinging onto a pipe or a platform randomly. Moreover, the finicky mechanics are most apparent during combat, especially in the last two chapters of the game. In fact, I think I ended up hating the combat by the end of my playthrough. Faith dies in a few hits and the counter mechanic seems to work whenever it feels like it. For a game about parkour, I do find it jarring that there are no cover or stealth mechanics when dealing with combat.

Mirror's Edge is pretty good but it is also quite janky. That's probably the best way I could describe this game in one line. Nevertheless, I found that the bite-sized nature of the game prevented me from getting too frustrated with it. Overall, I had a good time. If you're interested, get it on a sale or something, it goes for really cheap anyways.
