Playtest 0.0.27 and Development Update

Project Castaway 0.0.27 is now up. Focusing on commonly requested visual toggles.

Our next patch is going to receive a massive content overhaul: New procedural islands, new items to craft, new animals and traps, and much more!

If you haven't already - hit the wishlist button and request playtest access. We are still slowly rolling out access. The feedback given on our form, steam and discord has been extremely helpful, so thank you and keep them coming!

Development Update 🎉

First of all, I want to thank everyone who provided feedback via steam, discord and our in-game form. We have taken the most reported issues and suggestions and implemented them. Keep them coming! ❤️

Our playtest is never closed and we are constantly accepting people. So if you haven't requested, hit the button on our store page and don't forget to wishlist us!

We have just patched our version 0.0.26, with quite a few new systems. Full changelog can be found here.

We are planning to officially announce our release date as well as our roadmap for release and post-release soon.

why is my life going down?

Good morning! Here I ovus explain my problem. My character's life continues to decline until he dies even though he is well fed and hydrated. I tried everything, bandage, go in the shade, go in the water thinking it was the temperature but nothing worked, he kept dying. Do you know what it could be and how to fix it? Nothing appears on the screen except some kind of icon representing something like a sandwich. Thank you so much...

Assuming the devs want feedback, here it is:

First thought: Holy crap is that text small as crap. I'd add in a slider or font size adjuster so that people don't have to lean forward and squint at their screen. Showing what key above the sticks to gather the first time is fine. After that, it begins to get progressively more annoying. There aren't that many keybinds - I know what I set up for interact! Options - gameplay - there are no options. There should be some! Guessing it is a placeholder for later. You need to add a slider for mouse ...

Not enough food on the islands?

So far it seems like the trees and animals do not re-spawn. Maybe this shouldn't be an issue, but in my case, i cant get my raft to move at all. So when i can got out and explore this is killing my game-play. I'm not sure if there is a fishing mechanic in game or not, but that would be a solid add!...
