I found this game was mostly fun. The weapons are a little too heavy, and sometimes the enemy will hit you through a parry, but that's not the reason for the negative review.
The game doesn't like when you move (in real life), and seems to try and center you if you try weaving, or sidestepping an attack; which feels odd, and for a VR game, is just unresponsive; but that's not the reason for the negative review.
No, I could over look these things, and appreciate the somewhat entertaining combat, if it weren't for one big "feature" that had me wanting to intentionally punch a hole in my wall; and that feature is ranged attacks. Now this may sound like a petty complaint, but they COMPLETELY s*** on the flow of combat. There is no way to avoid being hit by them without precognition, or already having your shield up (if the game doesn't give you a shield for a while you can eat s**). if you round a corner and see an archer they WILL hit you unless you know they're there; and don't even get me started on the knife throwing enemies. At least the archers have the decency to hold a bow, but the damn knife throwing b*****s just look normal until BAM, there's a knife in your sternum. It makes me feel like I've missed something, like in Blade & Sorcery how there's a skill that makes time slow down when a projectile is coming at you, giving you time to react and dodge. As far as I'm aware you just pop out of cover to shoot at them (because you already know they're there, as this is your second attempt) and pop back into cover while you pray the arrow doesn't go through the wall like they sometimes do; and in some areas there is no immediate cover so you just cross your fingers as you beeline for the nearest cover. It also just breaks the flow of things because you CAN NOT get in a duel while there are archers near by, so you either run past the melee enemies like they're not even there, or you bait them out of the main arena to fight them away from the archers. Then the knife throwers will just always hit you anyway. After you pick up the bow the game thinks you'll have so much fun getting into archer battles too, but no, f*** no it's not fun.

Up there with one of my favorite VR games

Combat: Satisfying Once It Clicks
Sky Dance Behemoth VR nails the feeling of battling massive, awe-inspiring creatures. The combat system takes some getting used to—typical for stamina-based precision timing games—but once it clicks, every parry and attack feels incredibly satisfying. There is also a decent selection of weapons and tools to your disposal for a variety of different play styles.

Behemoth Design: Stunning Scale
The behemoths perfectly capture the sense of scale. It’s like reliving the magic of Shadow of the Colossus but cranked up a notch because, well, VR. Seeing these behemoths beasts up close is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dope.

Campaign Length: It's Decent
The game doesn’t overstay its welcome. A normal run-through on normal difficulty took me about 4 hours, while a completionist run on hard stretched to 10. Tack on another 6 hours in the battle arena, and I clocked a solid 20 hours of fun. For a linear campaign VR game, I feel like that's not too bad and worth the price. More behemoths would have been nice but it's really not an issue.

Story: Not the Star of the Show
The story? Eh, it's alright. I wasn't really all too concerned with it, it was easy to follow and although it was incredibly predictable , the game is still pretty good. However to be honest, it’s not really what I’m playing for. I just wanted to fight giant monsters and have fun while doing it. And this game delivers that.

Additional Notes
I was pretty fortunate to remain free of any game breaking bugs. There was a hiccup with a behemoth which meant I had to fight it again.. but that also meant I got to fight it again so it was all goods. The physics also went a little hay wire when climbing some of the behemoths which made grabbing to certain areas a bit how you going but it was rare and majority of it was good.

Final Verdict
Dope game. Had fun. Highly recommend.

A glitchy game overall so far. Ran into a ghost weapon glitch causing me to permanently hold onto a weapon that I can't use. Loaded a save state before the glitch occurred and somehow am still holding the weapon. I cannot do anything with the hand holding the weapon (pick up an actual weapon, potion, use it to complete puzzles that require two hands, etc...). This is also after the big day 7 patch.
