Sokobond Express is a tile-based puzzle game where you connect atoms together by drawing paths. The game takes inspiration from Sokobond and Cosmic Express, both of which are very elegantly designed puzzle games by Draknek & Friends. The developer decided to combine both games into one and... it works!

The puzzles in this game start off simple. You only have to worry about atoms, their electrons and connecting them together. You have to draw a path to the end point while also ensuring the atoms connect to each other. Atoms cannot collide with each other while it is moving nor can the atoms stay outside the level area while at the end point.

Later on, however, the game introduces more ideas, combining certain mechanics from both Sokobond and Cosmic Express and it works surprisingly well. There is a mechanic that rotates atoms around, a mechanic that allows paths to overlap and at some points you also have to add electrons to your atoms. Some of the levels looked really simple and had me stumped for hours only to realize I needed to rethink the puzzle in a completely different way. There were loads of "A-HA!" moments where solving it made me feel like drinking a cup of joe.

Though I will admit, I did find the game a bit too easy. It might be because I've already played Sokobond and Cosmic Express so I kind of knew what to expect. I also found this game to be a bit shorter compared its predecessors. As a fan of both predecessor games, I felt a bit underwhelmed. Only a handful of the levels felt super interesting, but I found myself breezing through others. But I digress; Sokobond Express is definitely the more accessible game so if this is your first puzzle game, or if you are a fan of Draknek & Freinds, I think you'll enjoy it quite a bit.

Overall, a short, very fun puzzle game. Great music, chill experience. Another awesome addition to the Draknek & Friends franchise.

• QoL: Good mouse and keyboard support, plus controller support. Great Hint system if you feel stuck. Option to unlock all levels. No performance issues. However, I wish exiting to the menu or to the level select was a bit easier.
