ngl, i played this game on the restored ver till I had played it to completion before buying. first, i played it because I just curious about what's the fuss was in my friend group. i am skeptical about it but i wanna at least give it a shot. and what happened next was a beautiful experience, one of the best VN I've ever read. the story was not a complicated ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that you may or not experience in the average visual novel that over-explains a lot of unnecessary detail. it was a straightforward one I could say, yet the execution was on point. but at the end of the day, the localization was quite underwhelming in my opinion. So buy this game and apply the restoration patch to it. both the localization and the restoration version were good though. Neither of them is the best experience to play. it depends on your preference, so suit yourself which one you would prefer

In terms of playing/reading:
It's a bit of a dodgy translation at times, weird word choices and ran jittery on Windows for me with some screen flicker. Videos ops/ed don't work on linux proton (including steam deck probably) but the game in general runs a lot smoother and you can get around it by just watching the OPs on youtube, if that doesn't bother you much. Which is what I did.
In terms of the story:
It's a fantastic mystery romance and one of my favourite visual novels now. I'm very glad so many of my friends recommended it. It was an amazing read.
