Potential Bug?

I'm having a blast with the demo so far, it's everything I'd want in a game about my favorite wine god. Unfortunately I can't complete it because I get to a certain point and what I think is a bug prevents me from going any further. I am at the part where you look for Iophon in the souther section and when I ask people if they are Iophon I hear a thunder clap and that's it. The animations don't freeze, the music still continues, and I can pull up the menu and load...
