This is a very engaging and charming game, with likable characters, an interesting world and engaging story lines.
That said, HOLY ♥♥♥♥ DO I DO NOT GIVE A ♥♥♥♥ OF THE GREEN DOCTOR LADY AND THE DLC, THIS ♥♥♥♥ IS SO BOOOOORING.
Oh yea and also the fact that you can get all endings in one save, since you can reload and most of them have no counter timers makes it very easy to just play once and get everything.

In short, no urgency, boring late game stories, anything fungus related takes to many cycles

This was a really enjoyable experience. The story was well written with heartfelt characters and choices that at least seem to matter. There was a surprising amount of story here, the 19 hours you see was a single playthrough. I played on steam Deck, for any wondering this game is well suited to the format and suffered no issues at all.

The gameplay, such as it is marries a choose your own adventure visual novel with ‘workers and timers’ dice based board game. This does actually give the player a surprising amount of agency and will inform the decisions you make. That said, it never feels like it’s there to punish or restrict you and if you’re willing to do as much reading as the game asks, you’re likely not going to be challenged. But you will be engaged and that’s the intent here, to drive the narrative.

This was a perfect palate cleanser and a nice chill sci fi experience with a heartfelt and interesting story and a setting that one becomes attached to as events unfold.

It’s not for everyone, but if this sounds like the sort of thing you might like, you’ll probably come away impressed.
