So you buy a game in early access. You know it might take a while. But there have been no updates for months and months now. Is this game being worked on at all?

I saw on patreon page, that developer decide to redesign all the main characters. In my opinion, the previous design was something that make this game quite unique, and i enjoyed it. I'm on the fence I don't mind an early access game but based on a lot of past games I think it's best to ask first. I don't mind to wait for the full release but I don't want to buy a full access game and find it's very basic and then the devs seem to just take the money and abandon the game....
