Crashes on launch, BIg Sur, Apple M1

Any known fix? Prompts an option to send a crash report to Apple. I've tried clearing download cache, but am unsure of other tricks.

Why does such a fun and exciting game have to be ruined with an impossible zombie shooter-arcade sequence?
