A pesar de que me encanta este Grand Theft Auto, esta versión es muy inferior a la original, llena de bugs y el salto gráfico no es tan impresionante. Si deseas comprarlo, igualmente recomiendo adquirirlo en oferta, ya que ni siquiera lo puedes comprar solo, tienes que pagar la trilogía.

Finished the game 100% on xbox before, after playing it again on PC I can say, after the latest patch the game is as it was meant to be on launch. Very few bugs are left, graphically the game looks great on Ultra and runs very well too, 100 FPS on a gaming laptop with Ryzen 5 7535hs RTX 4050 (140W version) and 16 GB of RAM. Classic lighting makes the game look like i remember it looked when i played the OG as a kid. Overall, on sale it is totally worth to get, a very nostalgic experience.

This remaster is the vice city with a few quality of life improvements and "better" visuals. I wanna start by saying that this game is brutal and you will die, a lot. But not in a dark souls kind of way where it feels fair. The remastered visuals have their upsides and downsides. The environments look good with the classic lighting feature, but the character models look very off.

Game is just as fun as I remember it

GTA Vice City was amazing for it's time. The Definitive Edition is in a good spot and does 2 major things that help players enjoy it today. Autosaving and Mission Retry. These additions are amazing as you save a ton of time and don't have to waste time to get back to where you were and/or get new weapons again. I do wish some of the missions had check points but the changes made are still great. GTA 3 walked so Vice City could run (and San Andreas could fly).

The narrative was a step up from 3 but still very fractured - you'd do 2 random missions with random people and be best friends. Lance is suddenly mad at you and while they do have some calls that build that up a bit - it's still a rushed story line. The property system is cool but is not explained so it's confusing to progress if you don't know that you need to buy and do missions for 6 properties (print works is required). The gunplay feels better than 3 but still very dated when compared to modern games. AI drivers are nuts and will crash into you - if this is how people drove in real life I think most people would be dead.

Despite the issues, I still had an absolute blast with this game. Maybe it's mostly nostalgia but I feel like the simple mission designs worked well (most of the time). There's certain topics and language used that would be taboo by today's standards so that's up to you if that is a good, bad or neutral thing. Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone who played it back in the day. If you haven't played it before and just want to see where GTA came from it's probably worth getting on sale and you can finish the game in roughly 11 hours so it's not a bid time investment.
