Definitely recommend it, all the characters feel quite different and the game can be fairly challenging. I like the variety of modules the game gives you, and each run you get to upgrade a bunch of them to make your run even more unique.

Considering the price, I think that's pretty great!

TL;DR: Unique Deckbuilding Roguelike with unique characters, challenging themed environments and enemies, and progression that adds to your versatility, it all leads to a gameloop that has tight tactics, interesting synergies, and tons of creative build potential.

With an active community, consistent updates, and a development team dedicated to making a fresh game in the Deckbuilding Roguelike eco-system, I can't rate this game high enough. With 9 characters (as of writing) in which you choose two to play, you already start the creativity with your first choice of who you'll be pairing to take on your adventure. Then the environment is varied across all stages of the game (expect for stage 3 as of writing) with enemies that fit the theme and challenge of the stage. In between stages, you'll be able to progress your camp, and unlock new creative potentially for your run.

The tactics change every run since runs are varied, fast paced whilst being turned based, and have meaningful choices every step of the way. The combat is tight, meaning winning or losing is mostly (can't discount RNG!) down to the way you play with what you have at your disposal. The synergy between modules (the "cards" of this deckbuilder) are varied and each is powerful in its own way. With the energy generation system and new-to-me wiring system present in this game, you'll go from zero to hero with the right choices and the right loot! Make more energy to wire more modules to do even more to destroy your enemies makes the gameplay loop in this game feel fun and snappy. With tactics and synergies combined, you have so many creative ways to win. Crush your enemy with overwhelming damage, speed your character(s) up so the enemy can barely have a turn, build more modules that create even greater lethality/potential of your other modules; the possibilities are only limited by RNG (the core of any good Roguelike) and your creativity and the choices you have made.

9.5 out of 10, and will likely be a 10 as the game progresses in development. For the price, if you like Roguelikes, give this fresh expression a chance, as it feels like will only get better because I've seen it keep getting better with an active community and active devs. iterating on making a great game.
