It's ok if you get it for free, very cheap or part of a bundle. I enjoyed it at times, but its a strange one. The game feels quite polished, but the story and characters fall a bit short.
Its an ok time waster, and who knows, we might see these characters in a future borderlands game.

Is this game as bad as people make it out to be? No
Is this game worth the price? Again No
Is this game worth playing at all? Still No

The only reason I own this game at all is cus it was cheaper to buy as a bundle than it would have been to just get the BL3's second season pass, and yet I still regret spending money on it. The gameplay is similar to the original Tales from the Borderlands just with way worse writing and almost half a dozen little minigames that feel like pointless filler. If you for whatever care about what happens you can just read the wiki or even just watch the Marcus intro videos.

So far the only funny joke was one that I made at a characters expense.

The only other noteworthy thing I can think of typing is that, I've literally stopped the game to do household chores that weren't needed to be done several times.
