Why is it everytime i hit the play button on the game it doesn't launch properly

Dev's twitter, on the store page at least, was deleted. Last update was in March. Everything I can find regarding the dev has either disappeared, led to some twitter posting adult game content, and a twitter page with fanart for the monsters. Developer on Steam has their profile set to private, and nothing can be seen regarding a future for the game. It's a shame if so, since this was shaping up so well....

Hi, is your game not launching? I was having an issue getting this to launch on a fresh installation and there was no error output from steam launching it. You likely need the C++ runtime to make it work. Which, is revealed by manually launching the game because steam likes to hide errors.
