A completely unenjoyable experience and I'm not just talking about the gameplay. I don't really care whether a Persona game is a JRPG, musou slasher or shooter. This game is just so incredibly boring and does nothing but assassinate established characters by making them extremely exaggerated. Nobody had a considerable glowup coming from P5 except Haru for me, but that's because P5 didn't care about Haru and would rather dillydally with Morgana instead.

Speaking of which it is a bit relieving that Morgana is no longer an exposition horse but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this cat is still so annoying. The urge to punt his american football-shaped head is immense. But hey now don't worry, Chat-GPT waifu is here to be the new exposition horse. I'm so glad 8 year olds can always follow the story of P5 and now P5S.

2/10 for simply making me like Haru more and the fact that it's not as outrageous as Tactica. For the love of god stop milking P5 Atlus.

My save data corrupted during the last 5 hours of the game (still a great game)

Almost an exact retelling of Persona 5's story but without any of the intrigue and coupled with extremely stale, boring button-mashing gameplay.

This game is for social recluses that are unathletic, pedophiles who touch little boys .

it's a fun implementation of the musou formula and felt like seeing old friends again

better story and characterization than the 150 hour game its a spinoff of

Early comment because I wanted to play the game but haven't quite finished P5 Royal yet. I decided to get it early just to see how it runs because of a negative review I saw that said it ran like garbage, but they also gave no detail on their system specs.

In my case, on my PC running a Ryzen 5 3600, RX 7600, 16gb of DDR4-3200 and an m.2 SSD, I was running max settings at 4k and getting the max FPS of 60 locked. I may still try the mod that lets me go above 60, but I just wanted to see how the game ran on lower end hardware like my TV PC, and even with max settings at 4k it never dropped below 60, so that other guy must be running on a potato.

I'll update this review once I actually play more or try out the FPS mod to see how far above 60 the game actually runs with the 3600/RX 7600 combo.

Unexpected and extremely fun

The combat is contrary to Persona 5 Royal (P5R) a Hack and Slash instead of turnbased combat.
The combat feels good, is extremely fun, but it's understandable if people dont like this combat, when they loved P5Rs combat.
The Games Quality on the other hand is another topic, a upgrade in some areas, a downgrade in many. People feel more flat (Graphically) than in P5R, The anti aliasing is taking a vacation in Middleofnowhere next to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, which is really annoying.
The Music also feels different than P5Rs, but i wouldn't say it's worse, it's just different.
It's also a bit sad to see that this game doesn't implement more of the choices you made in P5R into this game. It would be nice to see how your romance(s) turned out after a year, if there are any, if there was more backstory how they maybe broke up. Or the Level you had with these people. I hadn't maxed out all People present in the game and would've found it nice, if there was at least a dialogue about "yeah we were friends, but not best friends" or something along the lines. This makes me feel like i could've just jumped into the game with just a quick youtube recap and played the game and my time playing P5R a bit wasted.
