I got to as far as I had a nail gun then I encountered 2 enemies the nail gun only holds 10 nails and each enemy took around 7 nails each anyway I kept dying.
Then there is the save problem which is you will only be able to save if you find a tape and then a save machine and then if you die you will go back to where you last saved.
Frustratingly annoying.

Quick Description:
-Tormented Souls is a really well made modern survival horror game that is heavily inspired by the early Resident Evil games. You have static camera angles that change as you go further into a room and tank controls. I think these two things were expertly implemented in this game. Another thing that makes Tormented Souls stand out is it's atmosphere and sound design. Both are top notch imo. Now, I do have some major gripes. First of all, the map system is atrocious. This game has soooo much backtracking, but it's incredibly difficult to memorize the environment around you. I also found several of the puzzles to be way too obscure or specific in ways that most players will need a guide to complete.

Consensus:
-Solid Game (Tier 3 and makes up 35% of my reviews). This game is creepy, tense, and such a great blend of modern and retro survival horror. I did start to feel a bit worn down near the last quarter of the game and I needed some help w/ a few of the puzzles (really frustrating knocking puzzle). If you are looking for a modern game that has the feel of Resident Evil 1 or maybe even Silent Hill, this is probably your best bet. As good as this game is, there are lots of areas that could be improved. I am so excited to see what they bring to the table with their sequel, hopefully later this year. If you are looking for really challenging survival horror game, this is just the game for you.
