when I hold RB there's no menu on trigger attacks, I'm pretty much used to it now but still sucks :P and I can't change my resolution over 1980 it just keeps defaulting back, any fix?

So coming from 8E, you have pretty okay allies. They can easily kill enemies provided they outnumber them or they have high morale which should be the bare minimum in empires. But for this game I have read conflicting reviews. Some say they are useless no matter what while others say they can also kill enemies if you have the advantage. So which is it?
