Simple as. Is this worth getting if I already have Ascension

Is it even possible to get this event to trigger? I have never seen a game where the shimazu have less then 5 castles.

I see one of the ways to win a battle is to defeat the daimyo unit if he is on the battlefield, I recently fought the mori and fought and destoryed the daimyo yet the battle didnt end.

As said in title, selecting english on the launcher and then start game doesn't work. The game window opens for a few seconds, then closes. I'd have thought it's a problem with the specs but the jp version seems to run fine. Anyone have an idea what the issue is? I've tried disabling movies, reinstalling the game, setting it to run as administrator, but no luck so far...
