I enjoyed this game

Does what most city builders fail at, endgame.

Each settlement can be completed , there is a definite end goal to succeed. This process can be refined for optimum build / work orders.

Add some sprinkles for roguelike elements to keep each run fresh. Even without combat those CPS ( Clicks per second) matter.

*note- Pause often and think logically about next move and bask in never ending rain.

I have played this game for quite a while now, sometimes i leave it a bit. But i seem to come back to it every once in a while, it has a very calming effect on me.
The game might be a tad bit overwhelming when you start out, but if you start on a low difficulty setting you have the time to figure everything out.
There are plenty of ways to win the game, and what i enjoy is that i haven't mastered the game yet so there are alot of new things to optimise and to discover.

I find the game very well made, in all aspects. The only thing I wish the game had, was that you could play a cycle against your friends, or just some how correspond scores. But the devs specifically said their not doing multiplayer support. But its a very minor thing i would've liked.

In general
The graphical style appeals to me.
The music is very Soothing.
Gameplay is quite smooth i think.
The game is just very well designed i think, if i ever get real good at the game i might revisit the game design department on this review.

I think there is one thing the game could be stronger in, and that is the general narrative, the visual story telling and the lore that you get just tiny bits of so far, is very meager.
The game lends itself to blend in a more narrative experience, but i wouldn't be surprised if in the following updates this might also happen.

long story short, very cool game in this settlers kind of genre/civ kind of genre.

great game for people who love the start of world building/sim games (i am people)

This game is both peaceful yet stressful. You decide the pace.
I have played for 60h and still so much to unlock and try.

Honestly If you like similar games and are unsure if you want to try Against the Storm. Just do it! Trust the high rating this game has! It isn't hyped it is just good :)

Pretty fun, can be frustrating till you learn how to balance out things. Only a small learning curve.

Scratches my city builder game itch. Missed being able to play this while I didn't have a computer!

I get why other people like it, but I find it to be kind of "meh." I wish I could put my finger on why this is the case. Maybe it is because I am not interested in the world itself. It is not a bad game at all, it just does not click with me.

They all say it's a very good game and innovative but the artwork and UI didn't make it for me.
