I have no idea what DirectX and Vulkan are (I'll go Google), but whichever I choose, it doesn't work :( If I try DirectX I get an error message about dropping directx from the command line, and if I try to use Vulkan it tells me I need to have Vulkan. Does this mean that my PC can't play this?...

So when is the next demo update? Its very boring to just fly in the galaxy and to planets and do nothing. Can we get something to tinker with? Also I hope the middle window beam on the bridge is been removed or planned to be removed in the next demo upd, it has to be, frankly. Its the most annoying thing in the ship. I was wondering, when Dan said he envisioned the start of the game the player(s) would be at a base and walk on to the ship. I think this would create a lot of immersion. My question is , if new players join, would their first trip to the ship be similar, i.e. the ship would have to come back to the (a) station and pick up "new" crew members (my vote), or new members could just join the crew at any time. I am just talking about the first time a crew member joins. Thanks!...

I participated in Kickstarter, and have seen that I can access to the most recent development build. Listening to the podcasts, they say to just go to the discord channel and find out how to do it. I have been to the discord channel and counted, 93+ subcategories of topics. I clicked on the names that I thought would have the highest chance of success, but it was just random posts. How can I do this? It is not as easy as it sounds....

So from the video and the description this sounds like an interesting project (but HIGHLY ambitious), but one thing really irritates me: Why the heck would you place the bridge on top of a ship, easily targetable? That's a major design flaw, especially with all the windows instead of at least having it behind heavy armor plating. Yes, I know it looks cool and everything, but it just feels so unrealistic.
