Not the best or the worst Borderlands game, it's just about having fun for a few hours. Grab it on sale, if you are interested.

The Good:
- It's the best looking Borderlands game so far.
- Some of the map designs are amazing and the 'Overworld', which is like a huge map of the whole area, is cool. I enjoyed exploring it.
- It doesn't have an emotional story like the first Tina game, but it's OK. The villain had some interesting moments.
- It's fun overall, like most Borderlands game, unless you get stuck on the character creation part because "it asks your character's pronouns, now I hate it without even playing it."
- There are many extra side quests.

The Bad:
- The bad reviews come from not being able to play coop these days. I played it solo, that works well.
- It gets repetitive after some time. There are several little dungeons, but there are about 7 versions and they repeat. You have to keep playing them to finish all side quests and it gets boring.
- It's a bit too long. At some point, even the supporting characters mention that Tina adds new things only to prevent us from finishing the game.

Seems like a fun enough game for solo. However, my friend is outright unable to play with me due to connection issues causing him to skip around everywhere and take massive damage out of nowhere (from enemies shooting him in my hosted world, that he isn't seeing due to the connection issues). This literally only happens in this game, and any other multiplayer game we play doesn't do this for him.

Leaving this review as a non-recommendation for now. If they fix the connection issues then I'll probably change this to be positive, but as it is my friend had to refund before the 2-hour limit ran out.

Multiplayer still broken

Multiplayer is broken. Even though the game itself is quite fun, I wouldn't recommend it until they fix connectivity issues.

The game was given to me as a christmas gift from my brother.
The main story is highly forgettable. They went for a very "wholesome" and inclusive vibe in the story, which if done right, can be good. But in this games case, it is just very boring. There is no excitement, edge, or emotions of any kind like in previous titles. Borderlands 3 had notoriously terrible writing. But at least the story made you feel something for better or worse, unlike this game that doesn't make you feel anything at all. Some of the side mission chains are far more interesting than the main story. Most of the jokes in the game are also pretty cringe, and not even the funny kind of cringe.

The classes feel kind of bland and not as unique as in Borderlands 3 for example. It does seem like there is quite a bit of build variety though, but they don't seem to differ that much from each other.

I also didn't like the overworld. It was quite repetitive. Go here, kill these enemies, repeat. And when you are just trying to travel to another area, you can get ambushed by an enemy and forced to just fight for a few minutes, wasting your time.
Balancing is not great for some gear either. I found a legendary shotgun at level 7 and it was still killing enemies at level 30 with only a couple of shots. I had to force myself to use other weapons to experience some variety and pulled out the shotgun when a tanky enemy appeared.

Like Borderlands 3 though most of the other things are pretty good. Shooting, moving, visuals and sound design are all good.

Overall I cannot recommend this game. It is a waste of time and money. I didn't particularly like Borderlands 3 either because of the terrible writing, but I would much rather be playing that than this game.
For 59,99€ there are a lot of other games that bring far more entertainment than this.

And because there was a side mission that was a massive reference to "The Witcher 3" I will recommend you go play that game instead if you haven't already. You are likely to enjoy it, unlike this game.

Decades of Bunkers and Badasses behind me, loved all of the Borderlands games, I knew I was going to enjoy Tiny Tina's BM-ing and boy did she not disappoint! Game is over but now the true chaos can begin! This game is so satisfying I would not just recommend it but make it mandatory.

Stop forcing me into these dialogues EVERY 5 MINUTES. Not a single thing any of the characters said was funny, the dialogues just break the momentum of the game for no reason. Unless you have alot of patience for this dont even bother. I gave the game way too much of a benefit of the doubt and I very much regret the time I spent on it.

coop seems to be broken, just constant rubber banding and desync for the non-host players, both on PC, both in the same city.

The dialog is painful. The gun-play is decent. So far, it runs smoothly without issue(s). Many reviews are warning that multiplayer is/was broken, but it is working for me (in at least 1 + 1 co-op). I would say that it is a hard 7/10. Good, not great, while delivering what it should. The super-ultra-great-whatever-bundle is certainly worth the sale price.
