Not a good game. Far too much unskippable dialogue. Many of the skills seem boring or far too conditional to be useful outside of niche situations. Performance is WAY worse and inconsistent than it should be for how it looks, and it also frequently crashes resulting in spending more time waiting for it to load up again than actually playing.

Many of the guns feel bad to use. Some have a weird delay after pulling the trigger, way too many rely on burst fire which I've always hated. Some guns aren't actually guns and are crossbows, meaning that they shoot slow projectiles, mening you have to lead targets. This feels terrible. Hyper-accurate aiming feels more difficult to accomplish as a result of these things than in any other previous BL game.

Overall, it's kind of a miserable, frustrating experience.

Gearbox messed up quite a lot in BL3 as well and it looks like they took all the wrong lessons from that game and doubled down in Wonderlands. At the very minimum, we should not be forced to stand around and wait while a poorly written character monologues at us for minutes at a time. I come to these games for the gameplay, not the terrible characters and stories.

If it has been a while since you've jumped into a borderlands game then I recommend this. Its light, fun, beautifully crafted worlds are strung together with the tried and true borderlands gameplay loot with a fantasy coat of paint.
The abilities and chaos that can be let loose is really fun but not quite enough to shake up the run and gun gameplay which still feels incredibly solid since their improvements in 3.
Super enjoy the melee option no longer being an absolute joke and being actually useful even if this implementation is super simple.

Played through the campaign. Not a huge fan, but has a nice/different shooter looter feel from other Borderlands games. 4/10

Eh, kinda funny. Plenty of LGPTQ+ support. You could pick it up, but I don't think its super worth it.
