with region-lock the game is ♥♥♥♥ and it's impossible to find matches in Europe.

As someone who has about 1k hours of this game on Playstation before transferring to PC I can easily say this game is impossible to recommend to new players. If it's not the terrible matchmaking system that pairs new players up with veterans that will just bully them, it's definitely going to be the terrible gacha system that is required to keep up with the power creep of this game.

Alongside that the developers have added region lock and, as absurd this is going to sound, they've also added in coast lock as well. So now people in the US cannot interact with other players outside of their coast at all anymore.

Ranked mode is another reason to just flat out avoid this game, unlike other games where ranked is optional, the devs decided to just force it upon us. And with that comes with the toxic play styles of raiders body camping and taking games hostage. However on the other hand you have play styles from survivors teaming up and running nothing but meta skills which make the game insufferable to play as a raider. Terrible balancing on both ends.

Overall, this game is fun when it can be and I've tried so hard to get people to give this game a chance, but with how the developers are flat out ignoring us I cannot recommend this game anymore. Please, avoid this game at all costs, I cannot even say until the devs fix any of the issues because they won't.

Doesn't really deserve all the hate it gets (at least to the degree it's at). Fun game as long as you play it casually, especially at lower levels.

Nerf Black

It took me this long to finally leave a negative review for this game. Things were looking up for us when crossplay was finally added and queue times were significantly improved as a result but when ranked came back (which is something no one wanted to begin with) we were quietly hit with a coastal lock on top of the already existing region lock. Running premades with friends is damn near impossible now and doing solo queues is miserable because you get set up with bad teammates. Playing Raider is also a mixed bag because you either go up against rugrat lobbies or the A Team, there is no in between.

I will amend this review when and ONLY when region lock is removed COMPLETELY! I don't know what out of touch suit at Bamco keeps making these awful decisions, FIX YOUR SERVERS!

Usually I score a game in my reviews and list its it's pros and cons. I can't do that with this game because I purchased it and have been sitting in a queue to get into the game for over 8 hours while the game assures me that the "average time" to get into a game is under 2 minutes.

The wait time it gives you is bogus and just put in to make you think you'll get into a game within that amount of time. No dice. There is no game here because there is no player base. Seems like everyone jumped ship.

The queue times are an absolute joke and the matchmaking even more so, 6.3 hours total played, not including the tutorial I've probably had around 10 actual games, most of which lasted less than a minute because as a brand new player I would constantly get matched with a lobby of survivors usually at the A-B rank or brand new like me, and a raider who was never lower than S rank who would one shot me. and the 1 raider game I got, was mostly Z rank survivors, absolute embarrassment. If this didn't have the DBZ IP attached to it, the servers would've shut down ages ago.

If the developers actually read these for changes, here are some:

GET RID OF REGION LOCKING - it just makes queues even more unbearable.

FIX MATCHMAKING - 10+ minute queues to get bodied by S-Z Ranks as a C Rank isn't fun.

BETTER REWARDS - ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you wait all that time to barely play and get nothing for it, even limiting the BP points per day is a joke.

HAVE A NON-RANKED QUEUE - not all of us are sweaty losers who wanna tryhard this game all day, separate us from them so the game can actually be fun please.

the matchmaking is horrible, random teams are half retarded.....its a shame because the content is good. the raider is a bit op tho

It's pretty fun, the most unique Dragon Ball game, but ranked SUCKS.

Still recommend tho.
