Constant braking and twitching with controller. Can't even play the game =))

I wish I could recommend this game, but EA did something with it to a point where it's unplayable. I almost beat this game completely way back when it wasn't on Steam and I had no issues except for the road disappearing from under me (and for people with slow storage drive) when driving too quickly. But eventually, I upgraded my PC and decided to give this game another try and playing with a controller is now impossible. For some reasons, the joystick is the gas and everything is completely messed up. All controls options in the game window shows different input and do different things. I read somewhere that the game thinks that the Xbox controller is a steering wheel and that's why the controls are messed up.

I tried a bunch of online fixes, downloaded a couple of input.dll, tried some community controller layout options, nothing fixes this issue, so... unfortunately this game goes straight in the bin. What a shame. Outside of the poor handling and walking out the cops like dogs, the game was pretty good and super well done.

EA Needs to give us an offline patch and get rid of EA app we bought the game from Steam we don't need another f"cking launcher.
