Get your heads out of your butts EA, we need Dead Space 4

Remove the EA app.

Since the remaster has come to bring back some life in Dead Space’s community, I guess it’s the right time to make a review.

I actually like the game, and although it is a lesser horror game compared to the previous two, I prefer this one as a shooter, notably because of the weapon crafting mechanic that allow to make a wide variety of weapon combinations.
However, I can’t make a good review because of the following points:
→ Force you to download and have in the background a EA App
→ You cannot start the game without internet connection, even on solo, because of the said EA App. You have to start the App online THEN put the offline mode if you want to play offline.
→ You are a PC gamer that bought the game from Steam, and don’t know what ration ticket are for? Well, for you they are just bits that will sit in your inventory.

Let me develop for the last point.
In theory you can purchase some resources and weapons part with it, notably the Mk.V weapon tips and such. I say in theory because it doesn’t work if you play from Steam. Apparently it work for the EA/Origin version.
There was a ways to bypass the problem, but, for one, it is NOT normal for the customers to have to find a way to bypass what is functionally a defect, and two, it doesn’t work anymore, meaning that EA expressively patched it, to the damn of Steam’s players.
Maybe this has to do with the fact that you can buy these same resources/weapon parts with money? I don’t care. What matter is that I will not pay an extra 20€ for a game I already own for content I should already have access to.
I repeat, this is a DEFECT, and one that was NOT HERE ORIGINALLY.

If you still want to buy the game, buy it on the EA App. At least you won’t have that problem.
