Seeing Rald makes me horknee

This sat on my wishlist forever because I couldn't believe the price. I finally bought it, met Kovit, and realized the game was worth every penny.

I was looking for a gay dating sim based in the real world with great artwork, lovable characters and a feel-good spirit, and here we have it. I got a lot more character development and story from this game than I expected. I figured it was mainly just a bunch of horny gay dudes doing what horny gay dudes do, and not much else.

The artwork is spectacular, and its quality remains consistent throughout the game. The storylines I've played have all been intriguing, effortlessly swimming back and forth between kinky and wholesome. The music is energetic and breathes a lot of life into the game, but there are some tracks that get repetitive, and a couple that actually break the mood rather than enhance it.

This game tends to drag sometimes if you're not interested in pursuing multiple guys at once. I only dated Kovit my first time through (it was love at first sight, I didn't want anybody else) but on my second play through, I pursued multiple guys and that kept me a lot busier.

For the most part, the game doesn't take itself too seriously and can be pretty silly at times, but in a good way. That made it all the more odd for me when I ran into darker aspects of the storyline I found unappealing, that felt seedy. The art, the music, the characters... it's all so colorful and bubbly, but there are a certain number of dark spots and twists in the game. I appreciate greatly it's a game based in the real world, but I don't necessarily want real-world problems shading the experience. A little of that is fine for drama, but some of this stuff is pretty heavy.

Encountering those darker twists in the story felt like having a really warm, happy dream interrupted by some intrusive nightmare. The good news is that those darker moments are fairly limited, possible to ignore in some cases, and occasionally even serve to bring about really heartfelt moments.

Overall, this game is still fantastic, worth the price for me, and Kovit has swept me off my feet and right onto my back/stomach/side multiple times.
