Game freezes while loading at the beginning of tutorial. The option all work, but the gameplay doesn't start, the loading bar is stuck halfway through

The description on Steam page does not help much. So I have some questions regarding gameplay: 1) Linear or Sandbox? If linear how many mission are there. How many hours of gameplay? 2) Party based? Do we control only the main character or do we have a party. If we have a party of characters do we take them with us in all missions?
