Does the game allow mouse play, such as movement and being able to fire weapons with mouse buttons?

Being a gamer that prefers to play short sessions at a time e.g.15-30mins I wish this game had a continue last session for Arcade. I've been stuck at stage 7 and 9 on <normal> and I'm sure I could get further if the game allowed me a long enough break. How many stages are there? Great game!...

Is there a way to get the game to display controller glyphs instead of keyboard ones? The options menu shows that the assets for it are there.
