Yoko Taro will say everything is meaningless then waste your meaningless time by making you play the sloppiest game of all time 5 times in a row to see a different 5 seconds ending cutscene. Truly the best shîtposter of all times, i can only applaude.

Still i highly recommend it as the fishing game included inside Nier Replicant is vastly superior to the actual game and not a waste of your time, no fishing games are a waste of time, in fact God created life so humans can experience the joys of digital fishing simulations.

YES YES YES an so much yes. God I am in love with this game.

I first started with Automata back in 2017 which was my first introduction to the NieR series and I fell into that rabbit hole. When that remake of Replicant came out I cannot say how happy I got. At first I was very *hm* about the story and unsure if I'd enjoy it just as much as I did with Automata and had a huge break between the first half of the game and actually finishing the first run. But I am going to be honest: the characters, the story, the messages. Everything grew on me so much and I will still bawl my eyes out over certain scenes.

Just storywise it's a game that just gets better and better for me with each playthrough. I did replay the second part of the game multiple times for obvious reasons but never really the first part. Now that I am back to the first part I am noticing SO MANY hints at everything and my mind gets blown every single time.

I cannot recommend this game enough. Honestly. It all builts together so well. The bossfights aren't hard (mind you I am playing on normal) but the suspense and music are what makes them great. It isn't supposed to be the most difficult ones but to tell a story and oh boy, they do.

Don't get all achievements, that was just a mind melting task, but the story of this game is crazy and awesome. The combat is way to easy but that's not the point of this game, if you want challenging combat mechanics buy an og xbox and Ninja Gaiden Black, this game just has fun and functional combat and is heavy story driven.

Also I want to have kids with Emile, that sexy round face... ( °<m>° )

I bought Nier Replicant beacause I loved Nier Automata.
The is story is good but everything else, is poorly developed. The game is s i m p l y boring!
At least the musics are awesome because they remind me a lot of Automata
If I could, I would ask a refund and buy a nice book... at least the reading would be worthy.

Not even remotely as good as Automata. It is the predecessor to Automata so not super fair to compare so here's my review of it in a vacuum:

Story was predictable. Characters are EXTREMELY annoying. Voice acting- both EN and JP- was just not it. There's single song that comes on every time something "sad" happens screaming OKAY GUYS ITS SAD TIME NOW, TIME TO CRY that made me roll my eyes. The combat feels awful and i can't even explain why- it just felt bad to play. There's a few text adventure-like parts that I liked more than the actual game.

Music's good. There were a few things in Automata i didn't understand that Replicant answers since its the predecessor- so you'll at least get that out of it.

Whiplash coming from Automata to this. I don't expect it to live up to Automata, but I expected to at least be okay, but this is one of the worst games I have ever completed. The only reason i pushed myself to complete it was for the sake of being able to better appreciate Automata, Not worth, youtube will suffice.

I'm convinced people are lying about loving this game as some sort of weird superiority thing. It's not good.

Story is kinda mid for me but I like the characters in this games. The musics and scenery are very beautiful.
