HUD Expanse

Description
A modification on the bottom HUD (HUD.LAYOUT), that takes advantage of the "Center UI Globes" option and apply it to the whole UI. Along with this adjustment, 10 new quick bar hotkeys have been added and integrated into the UI's design.

This mod also modifies minimap (Automap.layout).

Features
  • Custom button within bottom HUD to toggle Center UI Globes setting
  • Help button function for both HUD style
  • Re-assignable 10 new quick bar hotkeys
  • Fame bar added in the design
  • Quick peek on fame bar and alternative quick bar by holding down "Hold Position" hotkey
  • Overhead Health bar for player and pet (Defualt keybind is "H"). Pet's overhead display can be toggled off and still can switch its battle stance with a keybind ("CTRL+P")
  • During Overhead display mode, there is a toggle to Auto-Hide bottom HUD for an immersive game play
  • During Overhead display mode, there is a toggle to just show the Fame and Experience Bars
  • There is an option to Auto-Avoid player's overhead display from mouse cursor contact
  • There is an option to Auto-Hide pet's overhead display if mouse cursor is not focused in the field
  • LurkerHUD remod have been integrated, it is now called "Overlay Options"
  • NEW - Quick Bar Keys' texts can now be toggled to be hidden (See Overlay Options)
  • NEW - Fame Levels are now fixed and can reach the highest title - Credit goes to Unearthed Arcana by DeeZire
  • NEW - Experience bar and Fame bar will now automatically be hidden if maxed level for each have been reached - Credit goes to Aherin for the idea

Auto Consume mod and LurkerHUD remod are already included in this mod

This is a severed piece of my Torchlight II UI mod.

It seems my uploaded screenshot here is misleading. The overhead display mode there don't have any UI left, except the mini map. If you are saying is true, then the only logical explanation would be that it is not possible to continually hide the charge bar. I left it there during auto hide probably because it persistently appear every time a charge stat increases/decreases. I may have tried to apply a workaround for it also but the charge bar will still be seen appearing momentarily, making the immersive experience even worse.

If it is not a trouble for you, try sending me a screenshot.

@doudley, the auto-hide HUD works during Overhead Display Mode (hotkey to toggle it is H), but the charge bar still remains on the screen. I want entire UI to auto-hide so it is a more immersive experience.

Like you rightly pointed out, we know which key to press for which skill thanks to memory memory, so I don't need the UI always visible, except against tough bosses or champions where I need to keep an eye on my HP or mana.

I know this is an old mod, but if you get any time, please see if the charge bar and other UI elements can also be auto-hidden during Overhead Display Mode.

I don't remember exactly how this mod works anymore but maybe check "During Overhead display mode, there is a toggle to Auto-Hide bottom HUD for an immersive game play" this one of my description in this mod page. An option to enable/disable autohide of the bottom HUD is much better than having to press a button to show/hide it because it will be counter effective since the buttom HUD mostly contains assignable keys already, means by time you'll subconsciously know what button to press to which skill/function and most part of the game is intense and won't give you enough time to look for what buttons to click or press with.

@Ultor: I agree, I want the UI (including skill bar) to hide or unhide when I press H. Otherwise, this is an excellent mod, thanks to @doudley.

Extra hotkeys were a life-saver. Finally I have room to force bind my highest potions instead of the game deciding to consume low level stuff as I'm taking massive damage. Thanks

Great modification, the only downside is that you can't set the skill bar so that it doesn't disappear when using the "Overhead Health bar for player and pet".

Thanks for all the modifications you made ;)

The mod works fine alone and with other mods enabled, last time I played TL2. Sad to see it doesn't work to some. Modding TL2 has a lot of limitations and I'm not surprised the game struggles using these type of mods, probaby adding (and not simply modifying) a ui layout on top of the vanilla layouts, were unexpected.

Hello, I was recomended to use this mod when I asked on the forum for HP bars on the minions or skill minions. Do you know if there is any way to add this on the mod?. I know is late and probably you are not upgradind the mod or playing the game but I wish the game had a way to track the hp on all my minions
