The Overlook Hotel

This is my second asset ever and it took a while...
Actually it's the Timberline Lodge on Mt Hood / Oregon. This famous Depression Era building was used for exterior shots of The Overlook Hotel in Kubrick's classic movie "The Shining". For my Red Rock Series ( http://community.simtropolis.com/forums/topic/70012-red-rock-colorado-episode-7-corpus-mens-spiritus/ ) I needed a Colorado mountain resort - so this was the choice.

It's RICO enabled (or serving as a monument).

The model has 3237 tris, and a well needed 2048x2048 diffuse map. Illumination, specular, alpha and normal map included. And there is a custom LOD at 127 tris and with a 256x256 diffuse map.
As a solitary building this should work very well.

The building doesn't flatten terrain - you'll need to flatten a 13 x 8 tile base, place the building and adapt (heighten) the terrain behind it - it sits on a slope!
It just comes with the parking lots - anything else should be placed with prop anarchy and more beautification mods!

UPDATE: RICO should be working now and the LOD and main model have the same scale. The main model is on a 13 x 7 plot now.
