Now here something everyone wants! A deathclaw as a companion? Why not! Now you can do it without any mod installation! Follow these steps and you have a new companion..

Now if you are trying to make a deathclaw as a companion you are going to have then you must enter "tgm" in the console in order to become godmode.
Next you are going to want to enter "tai" and "tcai" in the console to keep the NPC from attacking you or what not.
Now if you found the NPC you want, then open the console and CLICK the NPC you want. Now you should have the NPC ID at the top of the console. Once you have that goto the next step
Now type in this command in the console "setrelationshiprank player 4" and "setplayerteammate 1"
Alright so now you have a new companion you can now you must enter the following commands "tai" and "tcai" to renable the NPC's.

This is for people having trouble with their NPC running away once you get into action!

But if you are having some trouble with some companions running away and getting afraid, you gotta alter their aggression and confidence.
Once again open the console and click the NPC and type "setav confidence 1-4" and "setav aggression 1-3" TYPE 1 NUMBER 1, 2, 3, OR 4!!

also for those who are having issues with their companions killing your allies use "addtofaction (player faction id) 1" this will set the companion you wanted to your faction and they shouldnt attack your allies anymore

soooo this does actually in fact work only real issue im having is that i can command them to go wherever i want them to or to stay or trade with them or even talk with them but i cannot get them to follow me

I am having trouble with making it stay with me, if i quicksave and quickload it dissapears completly. any suggestions?

At a vanilla companion you can use "recycleactor".
On random NPCs they can be completly different after recycling. Be careful.

Back in nv, if our companions died. We just used resurrect command. And it worked. just as if they left my party...... wonder why bethesda didnt add this into 4... WONDER WHY

Btw the reason I needed to do on dogmeat is because I accidently shot him.
