THIS MOD IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED DUE TO AHARD DRIVE FAILURE THAT WIPED OUT THE SOURCE FILES. BETTER BEACONS REDUX! GIVES YOU THE OPTION TO SET THE MAX QUALITY OF ITEMS IN CRATES SO I'D SUGGEST SWITCHING OVER TO THAT MOD. I WILL NOT BE RE-DOING THIS VERSION SINCE IT WAS MAINLY RELEASED FOR THOSE THAT DID NOT WANT ASCENDANT GEAR IN DROPS. BETTER BEACONS REDUX! Due to popular demand, this is a reworked version of my other supply crate mod Better Beacons.
Clean & stackable - Will work after an update. May take several days for new items to be added after a release. New items can not be added til devkit is updated.

!!!!!ATTENTION!!!!!
THIS MOD CAN NOT BE USED WITH BETTER BEACONS ORIGINAL! THEY BOTH REMAP THE SAME FILES SO WHICHEVER ONE IS CALLED FIRST IN YOUR .INI IS THE ONE THE GAME WILL USE.
It can be used with Better Beacons Building Loot but not regular!

What it Does:
This mod adds in the items that have been introduced into the game in many updates but never added to the supply drops.

New items & changes include but not limited to:
  • Sloped building parts
  • Radio
  • Smoke & gas grenades
  • Saddle platforms (no Quetz yet)
  • Raft
  • Compound Bow & Arrows
  • SCUBA
  • Saddles for recently added dinos
  • Elevators
  • Sniper
  • And more!
  • Added small amount of ammo chance to drops. IE: You may get a few (2-8) ston/tranq arrows @ 25 & up, simple pistol/rifle/shotty bullets @ 35 & up, advanced rifle/pistol at 45 & up in addition to the ammo currently found.
  • It lastly but most refreshingly removes the instances where you receive 2 of the same item in a single drop such as 2 med crop plots or 2 water jar blueprints.


What it doesn't do:
(as far as I know, that's why comments are appreciated :)
  • Give you 2 blueprints for the same item
  • Give you 2 of the same item (except stackables like ammo/resources)

Installation for dedicated server:
Same as all mods, subscribe then copy this mod's folder (514986458) and the 514986458.mod file from your ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods to your servers Mods folder and add Mod ID - 514986458 to:

Please remember the sole purpose of this mod was to add the missing items from updates and to fix the outrageous number of 2 of the same BP's found in almost every drop until the dev's fix the errors themselves. Nothing more, nothing less. It's just a "holdover".
I never planned on doing anything more to this mod other than that. I have kept it as close to the dev's original settings as possible. The little bit of extra ammo was just a small bonus I left in there while testing.
I will keep it updated with new content as soon as I have access to it but as far as changing it in any other aspect goes, that isn't going to happen. That's what the original Better Beacons is for.
