Item Finder by Grebog

Easily find your lost Items!

Fix for latest Ark patch (Genesis 2): items will be found again in tamed creatures inventories

To use the ITEM FINDER press F3 to open the ITEM FINDER window.
Enter your search phrase in the upper left text entry field.
For an exact search use the "". (example: "spoiled meat")

Use the looking glass to toggle the "Show In World".
Press "Show In World" button to show the storage/dino which holds your items.

optional INI (GameUserSettings.ini) entries:
[ItemSearch]
SearchRadius=10000 (default is 10000, minimum is 3000, maximum is 20000)
AllowPull=true/false (default true - if set to true, you can move the found items to your inventory, if false: the Move button is invisible)

Hey Grebog, been a long time fan of this mod. I just got into ASA and can't seem to find an item finder mod like yours. I see that you've got a lot going on but is there any chance you'll port this mod to ASA? Would happily pay for it as I hope many others would be willing to as well.

As you recognized, i did not update the mod for a long time.
Real life has completely consumed me, so I have no time for ARK and modding.
i know, this is not what you want to hear, but i hope this will change in the future.
i am working on it.

Hi Grebog, love your mods, My sister and I absolutely cannot live without Natural Babies. Great work!

I found a major issue with this mod today. I checked your bug thread and saw that it had been reported last year so I figured I'd drop it in the comments so people are aware and don't make a costly mistake. I used it to pull fertilized eggs out of Dino Storage's soul terminals and after the transfer the eggs health had all dropped to 0.

I reproduced this bug to be sure there wasn't any other possible explanations for this. I separated a pair of dinos, bred them and had a freshly placed soul terminal pick the egg up. Checking the health each step of the way, it was at 98 when it was sucked up by the terminal. I then pulled it to my inventory with Item Finder and the eggs health dropped to 0.

The mod is working just fine otherwise.

@Grebog it actually does work right now with cryos. If you search "cryopod" it will show you a list of cryopods that are all labeled "empty cryopod". But if you use the Move function, it transfers the fully functional cryopod to you and it works fine ) So the only thing missing appears to be displaying what is in the cryopod.
Great to hear that you are going to keep modding! I've used a couple of your mods in the past, very helpful.

@Jules thx for your feedback! i do not know, if this will work with cryopodded dinos. i hope to find some time to mod in the next half year.

Fantastic mod, incredibly useful. Thanks for putting in the work to make this happen!
Any plans to make it the best mod ever by including cryopodded dinos in the search? It can find the cryos now if you type "cryo" into the search, but it just shows "empty cryopod". That would be insanely useful, now that everyone cryos up all their dinos.
