I prefer Aurora Borealis. Just because it's Latin doesn't mean nobody understands it. Meanwhile, Northern Lights sounds entirely effortless, just being the rough English translation of Aurora Borealis. Realistically, to still sound stylish without being completely lazy, Aurora Skies hits it on the mark, I reckon.

But i'm saying valve won't like it. Latin sounds cool, but it would be the same if they renamed the compatriot the "Haliaeetus leucocephalus". And it won't work well for marketing it either. Northern Lights or Aurora Skies will be more marketable. Sure a lot of people know what Aurora borealis is, but you must realize that valve with be more considerate of the millions of people who may look at this effect.

Theres already an effect named Chiroptera Venenata, and the grimm hatte's style names. Shouldnt be a problen. Though valve always has the final say on names

I like Badlants Borealis, or just Borealis. Both sound superb. This effect will probably become one of the richer ones, looks beautiful!

Also badlands borealis doesn't make any sense.
