find measure of a with a ruler
find measure of b with a ruler
find measure of c with a ruler
squareRoot(a^2 + b^2) should be the same thing as the measurement of c
proven

a² + b² = c²
Plug in the values you know, and solve by moving over numbers and square rooting.

Example (not to scale)

| \
| \
4 | \ Find "c".
|__\
3

| \
| \
a |_ \ c
|_|_\
b

We already know "a" and "b", so we can put them in the equation.

a² + b² = c²

4² + 3² = c²

Simplify the left side.

16 + 9 = c²

25 = c²

Since "c" is still squared, we need to take the square root of it to find plain "c".
__ __
√25 = √c²

Simplify.

5 = c / c = 5

Note that this will only work for triangles with a right angle.

Dont worry, i figured it out
so you know how milk bottles have handles? if you square the distance between the lid and the cap of the milk, and multiply the circle lid of the milk bottle, you get 2.759. This proves the therom. To give an example, in a world were A=1 and B=2, squaring C only makes sense, beacause in order to use the milk lid, you need the handle width. Another way to prove this therory, is to tell your teacher that it just works. Famous game designer, Hobb Toward, explained SkyOut 5's building features "Just worked"
I hope this helped, and good luck in school

You can use either a graphical method or you can use πr^2 to find the proof you need
