I'd say wait for the mod to be updated.

However, if for some reason the mod isn't updated for 1.29, you'll need to go back to 1.28.

if you can't play without the mod then for the time being... keep the mod off and open settings.txt in the documents' paradox folder and then try changing things from yes to no
