here's a bug, but as it's not a crash or anything but deals with the blueprint boxes, the starbound log wouldn't help (and is useless here, really).

I've noticed that, when looking at the available recipes versus what recipes I've discovered via spawning 100 of all 8 types of blueprint boxes, that I'm still missing some blueprints. however, I don't seem to get any more new blueprints. that's when I noticed that sometimes, when I use the box, no blueprint comes out, and instead I'm given a Perfectly Generic Item. it looks to me that the loot pool for the box might be messed up a bit, with misspellings or whatnot, causing the game to try to spawn an item that doesn't exist, hence spawning a PGI instead. unless that's a feature of your mod (which I doubt, as as of right now the PGI serves no purpose unless you're in admin mode, and at that point there's better stuff you can make legally)

do you know which objects you miss in your list? die PGI is a type in the spawn list, yes. ill look for it. it would also appear in the log the moment the PGI is created though.

here's a list of items I'm missing from boxes (some of these might be legitimate and I simply somehow failed to get them, and I understand because I have really bad luck, but after over 100 boxes of glitch, apex, and some other box, 100 of the others, and 200 of the novakid, I doubt all of them are missing due to bad luck), also in spoilers

EDIT: It's also possible some of these items are not in the loot pool at all - after opening 300 generic blueprint boxes, while I didn't get any PGIs, I also could not get the metal railing, modern platform, durasteel, ship support, details, decorations, wallplate, wall panel, the scanner, the marker, or the life support system (that last bit's kinda important). as it is, I can't use the materials that were used in the creation of this ship to expand, or expand at all due to the lack of life support I can craft. unless these are given in a quest or in ship tier upgrades (if those even still exist at this point), there doesn't seem to be a way to get these.

EDIT 2: oook, so like I thought might be the case, there is no blueprint for metal railing, modern platform, durasteel, ship support, or wall panel. because they're unneeded. once I get my hands on one (via crafting in admin mode), it's unlocked to craft. one of the "learn by getting one". that makes sense since they're normal starbound stuff. however, the non-starbound stuff still can't be gotten, so the details, decorations, wallplate, scanner stuff, and the life support are all still unavailable. I'll be spawning their blueprints manually, since I kinda like some of it.

also, sorry I keep adding on to this, but I found another weird bug. Since I have every door but the human ship door, I went and tried to spawn the human ship door recipe. and I succeeded... except I ended up spawning a recipe that creates a door that looks very similar to the apex door. and when you go to place it, it's actually a hatch, instead. the description is even different from the other doors, and there's no actual way to craft it, as it's not in the workbench, the ship-block-maker, or your regular crafting menu. you can't craft it anywhere. so now I know the recipe to a door that I can't actually craft that doesn't even look like the human ship door, and I can't seem to spawn the correct one. take that back, apparently I can just use the vanilla recipe and that worked wonders. woohoo. so I can craft the normal doors just fine. still, I don't know if I can do anything with the madtupil_human_shipdoor, since I can't actually find the crafting recipe on any of my stations.

In the starting mine on Lush planets, the mother poptop miniboss is supposed to drop 10 core fragments, but due to the mod overriding that monster's drop table, it doesn't drop them anymore. It's not a particular game-breaker but it makes starting a new character more difficult than it needs to be. Similarly, the Shockhopper boss doesn't drop his codex anymore for the same reason.

The Avian Blueprint Box drops a generic item, because it wants to spawn a recipe for avian landing gear, but the actual recipe in madtulip_avian_landing_gear.recipe is set to make apex landing gear instead.

Also, can confirm that the Life Support System blueprint is missing entirely from the Generic Blueprints Box, making it impossible to actually expand the ship without disabling life support entirely.

Have several bugs:

-Haven't found a way to aquire the recipe for the life support system, making the optionable disabling of life support a requirement if you want to put more than one door in your ship.
Same problem learning other ship part's recipes.

-DIY upgrade book thingy dissapears once clicked upon.

i've now played a while with this mod and didnt have a single blueprintbox drop

probably an other mod i have installed overides the droptables...?

is there a way to "fix" this problem / include them back into my game?

edit: the only mods i have which have something to do with spawntables are FrackinUniverse and Tales of the Fallout, but i could not find anyone else there with the said problem

same problem here, I have frackinUniverse as well. I had a problem with another mod when the 1.2 starbound patch came out, so that patch could have broken the blueprintboxs? No clue how ever, hopefully the mod author updates the mod as this is the reason I started playing starbound again.

I wasn't sure if I should make a new discussion for this or post here (since it's more of a byproduct than a true bug but I guess it depends on what your opinion of a bug is as a coder).

I do love this mod but it has some issues for my GF and I when we play together. Her computer loads slowly which causes some interesting things to pop up. When we teleport to our ship, there's often times (in SP for her and MP for both of us so I know it's from her computer being a potato) where we are losing health before fully loading.

After looking through the code (I'm not super fluent in Lua or anything so bare with me) I believe it's something to do with these main factors:
1) is_shipworld returning false due to the slow loading time (we land on the platform of the ship but there's no textures or anything loaded in) which causes the zero gravity effects to kick in. Once the textures are drawn, the debuff fades away and all is normal.
2) determine_if_in_space_condition_should_end is thinking that there's no solid area or blocks around because of the checks for foreground being present are failing due to the loading not working (does world.material have to do with rendering?).

#2 is probably the more likely culprit but wanted to list the main observations in case there's something I don't know/understand with how Starbound is loading things vs how the threading/coroutines are doing their stuff.

My proposed solution (assuming that the above are in fact the cause for this) would be to pause the threads for the vacuum stuff after the "teleport to ship" function has been called and have some kind of check for rendering done to make sure the game is fully loaded/caught up.

Once Starbound isn't crashing due to mod updates and whatnot, I'll try to do some experiments with the GF and see if my theories are correct.

Edit:
Toggling admin status on when loading and waiting for the ship to appear still causes the health drain to be in effect. Might want to take a look into how it interacts with that!

Going to have to change the check for is_shipworld now that the threat level is always 1 as of this patch.

Altough using the blueprints say i learnt how to craft the ship parts, it wont unlock the recipe in the metal forming press.

Not sure if it's a bug or an intended feature.

I have flat telepoters becaue I like making a landing ship on the planet that looks similar to the one in space, when I get to the BIGGER ships I keep one of the smaller designs as the landing ship. I use the same teleporter.

I accidentally used the teleporter pad from your mod on one of my landing ships (on planet), and when I tried to use it, the game disconnected back to the main menu:

"You were diconnected from the server for the following reason:
Incoming client packet has caused exception"

I have tried this with and without the flat teleporters mod on a new game (test character, just to test this) and get the same results.

The crash is NOT fatal, you just go right back into your game, just don't try to use the teleporter again (when it's on planet).

this is what my /storage/starbound.log looks like. it took me forever to find out your mod was causing this. pleas fix in official release as after a while it causes massive lag spikes when writing to the log file because its so big.

has anyone reported the bug of entering the ship and soffocating, eventhough there is LS on board? after death and some times after returning to the ship, I take soffocation damage (NO LS) even though LS (Life Support) is on my ship and active, wondering if this could be due to mod conflict
