Suggestions Please!
Whilst we still would like you to post bugs/fixes/criticisms for us on the main comments (as we see those first and can get on it right away). It would also be really nice for any improvements you could suggest to us, or anything we can expand on to be posted on this 'Suggestions' discussion. Thank you for your time and we can't wait for your suggestions!

Irrelevant to the mod, but raises for staff? If I bring them on at 20k per year, realitstically after one hit game they're not going to want a 40k raise, so realitstic raises at perhaps the end of the year!

Its a nice idea; the next thing on our list is increasing research (for researching things and game reports) but after that it is a possibility. It may be put into a second mod as we are possibly planning to build up a collection of mods to improve your gaming experience! Thank you for your feedback.

Thankyou for getting back to me fast. I don't want you guys to lose the motivation to continue to make good mods! The update has dialed it back perfectly, it has a fine balance.

Really liking this mod so far. I'm not saying it's a necessity, but it'd be nice to know how many skill points in each category my employees have gained after finishing a game. I mean I can easily check in the staff list, but something as part of a game report or something would be nice. (Just a suggestion).

That is the next thing on the list after contracts and research stat increases. It could take a while to do, but I'm currently thinking of adding it to the game release screen (after you see all staff levels increase and can publish the game). Thanks for your suggestion.

Official Note: Due to issues with the way that the sourcecode deals with research, research point increases will not be included in this mod (from researching technologies) in the foreseeable future. We may, however add these increases to similar actions such as making Engines or Game reports. Opinion/ideas on this would be hugely appreciated.

Are you set on just experience point increases? If you're experienced programmers you could do some good stuff

We have very basic plans for a new mod. We can't share them yet, but after visuals are done for this mod, we will get to work on it and can inform/link everyone to it. It will also be for Game Dev Tycoon assuming that we can get it to work.

Perhaps you could make employees research faster the more they... well, research?

As mentioned above, the way that the games soucre code works makes tis very difficult. v0.3 (not yet released) will definately feature research increases from creating new engines. I will continue to look into the possibilty of research stat increases from researching things but it may not be possible for the time being.

I wonder if it is even possible to add more workers to your studio as a mod? You know so there is 1 person for every game aspect (graphics, world design etc.)

I would be difficult as there are huge graphic changes to make and it could also cause balancing issues, but we may look into it for our next mod (which will be separate and won't be out for some time) thank you for you input

Hello, this mod is a great idea ! But after 10 years ingame all my staff have more than 600 speed. Seem's a little high (with 0 speed training).

After 10-13 years my game start to lag.. I've 3 mods installed :
-slider percentage
-personal computer
-staff exp mod.

I got no problems before installing the last mod. I admit my computer been punched by his service years ^^

at this point the research stat seem's to be good for me, with great employees you can focus on other stats and research all the engine features.

For me this mod would be perfect with a nerf on speed gain and an optimisation.

Thanks for all and sorry for my basic English =)

Thanks for your input, I thought the speed stat was about right, but I'll bring it down a bit. You are the first person to mention optomization problems, but I'll see if I can clean up some loops a bit, although it's an extremely lightweight program anyway (less than 100 lines) so shouldn't run slowly at all.

Update 1.1 should now have fixed that, let me know how you get on.

It would be cool if there were certaint things you can research to improve on how many points you earn. For example, call it "Learning Course" or something like that that you can research for (I was thinking) around 200RP and boost it around 50% more for the points you get. Thought it was nice little idea.
