How do i get the arsenal to restrict the starting equipment to only a certain few items?

I got the weapons to where i want, but the other categories add all items within the mods i'm using and i want to sort out the unneccessary fluff to only being a few starting uniforms that then progress to include more?

i've edited the i_weapons_default.sqf based on what i see it in the unmodified version. is there a trick to this or is there no actual restriction on uinforms?
