How to fix: Error when entering vehicle
If you are getting errors when entering a vehicle (something with 'Object tried to call nil in updateTransmission'), here is how to fix it:

  • Close Project Zomboid
  • Subscribe to this Mod
  • Wait for the download to finish
  • Go to
    Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\2909035179\mods\BetterCarPhysics
  • Copy the zombie folder
  • Paste it into
    Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid
  • Overwrite all files (should be 24)
  • Start Project Zomboid
  • Enable the mod. Done!

It can happen that updates to project zomboid override the copied files. Also if you have run 'verify integrity of game files' at some point, you need to repeat these steps.
