SSMB, l4d2 or whatever, can't hold 300+ sounds (I don't sure)
So, what happened when your mods hold more than 300 sounds?
2 results:
1. You still can join game, but the sound play is vanilla sounds.
2. When you join game or host lobby after that you will get kick out lobby.
Hope this help you (my English is bad)
Yup I just hit that limit whatever it is, now my game starts to mute some sounds until it goes fully muted and then I get kicked.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.... just when I thought I could finally sound mod to my heart's content but no, of course there is an engine limit to sounds and I already hit that with 80 plus sounds, 3 weapon mods, footsteps and some physics that's all I added.
I'm gonna start to disable every mod with sounds in them, see if I can extend the limit somehow and then lower my expectation on how many sounds I can actually add, it's sad but still better than nothing.
Edit: Alright I can confirm there is a limit, I unsubscribed from a bunch of addons and lowered the number of sounds in my custom scripts and everything works fine now, dunno where the problem is, the number of sounds in mods, in this mod or the number in total. If I figure it out i'll update, in the meantime I'll stick to adding 2 or 3 new sounds tops per entries.
