Did you use the recommended startoptions? Then it's probably the +mat_hdr_level 0 one.

I’m trying to use low fps boost pack were everything is low textured, I can’t seem to get it to work in other modes

I don't see the players and no zombies, then the game closed by mistake, it's a bug or an error

Even without this, I highly recommend playing L4D2 in either borderless or windowed mode -- it actually makes this game insanely more stable.

Honestly, due to the Windows OS minimizing full screen games on focus loss, it gets rid of that "drawing context" (or in simpler terms, where it is allowed to show the game's output screen)... this is what causes the games to bug out. Bethesda single player titles (like Skyrim and Fallout: New Vegas) paused to work-around this bug caused by the OS.

For L4D2, I've had people who could only [Alt]+[Tab] out of the game once, and only for a short amount of time as their second time to alt-tab out would always crash their game. Helping them play either in windowed or borderless actually made the game a lot more stable.

Two easy Windows 10 / two easy Windows 11 toggles (located nearly around the same location for both of the two OSes) can help with other issues like being able to uncap the framerate of the game while it is windowed / borderless, and to prevent blurryness / cropped off parts of games / etc.

[Win]+[R] should open the Run Dialog. For those that don't work, you may ignore them (Do note that Windows 11 may have them named differently or located elsewhere in the display settings section)::

• ms-settings:display-advanced - disable the toggle for "Let Windows try to fix apps so they're not blurry"
  
• ms-settings:display-advancedgraphics - enable the toggle "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling" or manually add the game's main executable (which may be different from the game's launcher).
  
• ms-settings:display - Select the monitor in the preview part and verify "Scale and layout" is at 100%

• How do you know it is the fault of this person's Add-on?
  
• Are you using any other Add-ons? Please list them (along with your load order).
  
• Can you show proof that it is in fact the spitter that is causing it? Error logs / error messages are in fact very helpful.

Use that in thumbnail view (especially within the workshop folder) so you can more easily identify what random jumble of numbers is what mod is what... the load order file is at:

For instance, in my workshop folder, I see a metal gear image and it has the filename 809405081.jpg. I can deduce that in my addonlist.txt file that the "workshop\809405081.vpk" entry in it is the mod that gives me the Metal Gear "ALERT" sound clip before the AI-powered SI attack.
