Crashing
Wondering if or when this will be updated cause while I really love this mod and the 2 before it. I keep crashing at random it seems and then there is the crashing at around 3200 I am seeing in the comments.

Correction yes around 2300 is what im seeing alot of people crash at

Yep, game crashed to me during year 2304.
But honestly I don't mind that much. Modpack is buggy, horribly unbalanced and game performance is really bad. It probably saved me from big headache

Crashed on selection of the glowing menu on the left side after a seemingly normal start. Now will not restart for any laodups after.

For me the game crashed as early as 2284

Just as another data point. I had it about the same as Lord. think was May 2nd 2284 (roughly). I am not running any of the "optional" mods just the 6 plus UI, planets and rules.

I have not found an L-gate or even been warned about it. was starting construction on my flagship but not built yet.

Not sure if that data helps or not but there it is. last autosave was a few weeks before crash so I can go back and look if there is something else you think might help

I am crashing in the year 2280, in the 12th month.

I looked through the Logs and found on the end of the logs a problem with a Bio Engineering Facility Megastructure. I think the A.I. tries to build it and that crashes it?

There is a scirpt error for a "invalid context switch", and then it titels the .txt file of the megastructure.

Can confirm it was the bio-engineering facility for me as well. I ran up to the crash doing nothing after confirming that an AI had built one, and the crash happened at the same time. I then reloaded in, deleted it, and continued with no crash. The weird thing that I noticed was that when I went to delete the megastructure itself, I had to run the command about 15 times for it to actually delete. I suspect that the crash is something to do with the AI somehow building and upgrading a bunch of instances of a bio-engineering facility in one place in a sort of stack, as after I unpaused after deleting them, the AI immediately tried to build 2 more bio-engineering facilities in the spot where I had previously deleted them (this would have taken place shortly before the crash would consistently happen). For now I can temporarily bypass the crash by making sure the AI doesn't have any, as it doesn't seem to be building more after all of them are deleted.

So i went to the discord. They have a txt. file you can put in to counter the bioengineering station issue. (Not perfect if wanting to have AI build but hey it lets the game run)

so i keep crashing in 2201 between january and july and i have no megastructures

Ah thank you, I didn´t want to join just another discord server I will not be active on anyways, that´s why I haven´t looked there.

I didn't see it. Can someone post it here?
bgq97 25 Aug, 2021 @ 11:09pm
start the game (straight away) open the infinite stellaris menu in game move over a button and get a ctd will provide more info as I figure it out only running the mods listed in this mod including the optional mods except Megastructre+ since it is hidden and can't be subscribed
update 1 I hovered over the circle with 4 v inside it and that caused a crash checking more
for clarity its the one above Crisis master and production revolution

Took me a little while to figure it out:
1 - open the crash log in My Documents and go to the bottom to see the system the Bio Engineering Facility is in
2 - Press F within Stellaris to find the system and note the Empire name
3 - Open the console with the ` key and enter play 1
4 - repeat until you have the correct empire selected
5 - go to the system you found and select the offending Bio Megastructure
6 - in the console type'`effect remove_megastructure = this'
7 - repeat until the megastructure is gone
8 - in the console type 'Play 0' to return to your game and past the crash date

I haven't seen how quick the AI tries to rebuild it (I started a different Megastructure off in its place) it went past the date and I have added the text file from the discord channel so fingers crossed.

Thx for the mod collection, has made Stellaris fun again :-)
